“My experience began when I joined The Talon. I first wrote spotlights which expanded to campus events.”

Mahak Tiwari

Major: Biochemistry

“I have been with the Talon family since last year of Spring and Fall 2019 semesters. I first was a writer and then a reporter doing mostly faculty spotlights, club interviews, and on-campus events. I also have been actively involved since my beginning years at MSJC in the Fall of 2017 as an SGA Commissioner. After leaving SGA that same year, I found myself to be involved in student clubs as an officer or even sometimes a member.”

Allison Arnzen

Advertising Operations / Writer

Major: Communications

My background in media communications aside from my college curriculum would be most prevalent in my work within the fashion industry. In the United States to Milan, Italy, I have worked in front of the camera and on the runway as a high fashion and commercial model for 3 years.”

Selene Hofstetter

Major: Creative Writing

“I am a writer and in high school, I was one of the first writers  for my school’s newspaper, The Mammoth Tribune, for two years and I also took a creative writing class my senior year and helped write my school’s first Literary Journal. These experiences really quick started me into my passion for writing and my major. I have always had a way with words and writing became an outlet where I could get my voice out there and be heard, it is something that I really enjoy doing.”

Nick Pettis

Major: Digital Media

“I am a digital media student at MSJC. I’ve been in theater for as long as I can remember. I’m trying something new and I’m happy I did it. The Talon is a wonderful group of people and I’m glad I get to work with them. I look forward to giving you more news to watch as fast as I can.”

Eddie Landeros

Website / Social Media Manager

Major: Communications

“I was in the U.S. Air Force for 6 years as a Security Forces member involved in law enforcement, flight line radio communications, and customer service at the visitor centers. I’ve worked for LiveNation as a guest services associate and security guard at the Riverside Performing Arts Center and Riverside Municipal Auditorium. I love music, art and photography because artists are able to communicate with the world in their own unique lens and tell their story.”
