Wild Airport Fire Spreads Across SoCal Counties

The Airport fire started in Trabuco Canyon Orange County on Monday, September 9, at 1:21 pm.

The fire has covered 23,140 acres, starting in Orange County, moving to Riverside County, and hitting the Ortega Highway.

As of Wednesday, September 11, it has been reported to be 0% contained and has caused two civilian and five firefighter injuries and damaged one structure.

Classes across Riverside County and Orange County have been canceled to protect students from the lingering ash and smoke damaging the air quality. Some schools in Riverside County will report back on Thursday, September 12.
