Hi. My name is Mia, I am 20 years old, and for the past 18 years, I have lived in a haunted home.
Personless footsteps, bodiless voices, inexplicable shadows, odd occurrences, and uneasy feelings are normal in my daily life.
My family has talked to pastors, priests, paranormal enthusiasts, ghost hunters, and even a medium to rid us of our ghostly friends. All attempts hit dead ends.
We tried and tried, through holy practice and outside help, but our house never quieted down. Despite our eviction attempts, our invisible roommates were here to stay.
After some time of trying to rid our house of the ghastly friends, we strengthened our faith and learned to live with instead of against them.
Here is my guide to living with the undead:
Random Voices
Ignore it if no one is around, but you hear someone talk to you. They won’t answer you back, and inviting them in can be a dangerous game.
Inexplicable shadows
Let’s say the shadow of something appears in your doorway. Shut the door, turn on a light, turn on some music, and pray (if that’s your thing). Don’t talk to them or freak out. Just create an environment that is comforting to you.
Mysterious Footsteps
If the creeks on your staircase, hallway, or living room strangely synchronize to sound like footsteps, stay where you are. If you live with other people, ask if they are walking around. If the answer is no, turn on the light where the sound is coming from and go to bed.
Missing Objects
Stay calm if you put something down, and it strangely disappears, no matter how much you look for it. They just want to play a game. Walk away, do something else for a few minutes, then go back to that spot. It almost always reappears.
Uneasy Air
If you walk into a room and everything in you tells you to get out, then leave. Come back with another person or wait a few hours till the area has calmed down.
The main tip for coexisting is to avoid interaction and never make them angry. Besides, you’ll eventually join them, so why start off on the wrong foot?

back home in Australia, I have experienced the same thing in my own home but I wasn’t thinking too much about it until one of my flower vases fell down out of nowhere and broke on the floor so i was freaking out and my best friend was like “don’t freak out we are going to be okay girly.” i thought like my boyfriend was like messing with me but I forgot he went home already this was like at 3:30 am but knew that it would happen but i hate haunted thing so much.

I’ve also dealt with this in the house I grew up in… And still will see apparitions in the corner of my eye or hear a ghost call my name. I just avoid at all costs, its so normalized now, it hardly affects me
