Mia Rotell, Editor in Chief / President
Hi! My name is Mia Rotell and I am The Talon’s Editor in Chief! I’m going on my last semester at MSJC and my third semester at The Talon. I’m extremely passionate about writing and storytelling which is why I love The Talon so much. I am currently enrolled in an online journalism class taught by journalism professors at New York University and editors at Rolling Stone Magazine. This summer I have been cultivating my writing, storytelling, research and interview skills under a mentorship. I’m currently a Journalism major and plan on getting my bachelor’s degree in Journalism and Media Communications at Colorado State University. My ultimate goal is to be a freelance investigative journalist. I plan to bring all the skills, tips, and tricks learned over the summer to uplift our student news outlet. Outside my articles, I like to read, write, do yoga, paint, travel, and collect old books.
