Victor Ortiz, Jr., Co-Editor / Writer
Victor Ortiz, Jr. joined The MSJC Talon newspaper team in August 2021 as a staff writer and co-editor. Born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to Puerto Rican parents, he grew up everywhere since his family was military throughout Victor’s entire childhood. Before arriving to southern California, Victor lived in Texas where he worked as an operations manager in healthcare for several years before he decided to switch careers in pursuit of journalism.
He has recently developed a keen interest in covering stories about politics, breaking crime, and court case coverage news. Victor has written a few stories focused on these topics in his blog at letstalkfacts.blog.
When Victor is not writing or researching for news stories, he enjoys reading, spending time with family and friends, frequent traveling, and nature in all forms. He is a vegetarian and is passionate about animals, environmental sustainability, and healthy living.
